Abducted by Corrupt Spanish Officials

The Issue

Keep in mind that if you come to Spain with children, they could end up victims of institutional kidnapping. You will then spend thousands of euros in lawyer and court fees to rescue your child.

I’m a South Florida resident currently in Spain with a group of colleagues searching for a three-year-old child who was abducted by the Xunta de Galicia (the corrupt regional administration). Her name is Azalea. She's a victim of institutional kidnapping.

We've informed the Department of State. We've also written to the Association for the Recovery of Children and the European Court for Human Rights.

Among the many absurd reasons the Xunta de Galicia gives for taking custody of Azalea is that the child is not registered with the public health system. Of course, she's not registered--she doesn't live in Spain!

The persons directly responsible for Azalea's abduction:
Ana, Tel: +34 881 881 959
Miguel, Tel: +34 881 881 911

After several weeks interviewing Spanish journalists and doing hundreds of hours of research, I feel qualified to answer the following question: Why would Spanish bureaucrats go out of their way to kidnap a foreign child?

The answer is that the Xunta de Galicia is desperately looking for children to abduct so it can claim funds from the central government and the European Union. Any child is fair game. The Spanish government pays regional authorities an average of 7,000 euros per month for each child abducted. In this part of Spain, foster families get paid 550 euros for each child they take in. Who keeps the difference? Part of the funds are funneled back to the ruling socialist party, the rest is distributed among the members of this miserable syndicate.

The mother has had no information regarding Azalea’s whereabouts since the day her child was torn from her arms. The Xunta refuses to give the mother any information about the child and even refuses to let her speak to Azalea on the phone. The mother is now trapped in Spain. She cannot go home leaving her baby behind.

I want to make it clear we will do whatever it takes to rescue Azalea. I say again, whatever it takes. We will not abandon her in the hands of the corrupt and ruthless Xunta de Galicia.

We would greatly appreciate your signature on this petition.

Thank you.
