Petition to Fordham University: Cancel Shai Davidai's February 11 Event

Petition to Fordham University: Cancel Shai Davidai's February 11 Event
The Issue
We, the undersigned, call on Fordham University to cancel the scheduled speaking engagement of Shai Davidai on February 11.
Davidai, a Columbia University professor, was suspended for harassing university administration and has a well-documented history of targeting marginalized students—particularly Arab and Muslim students, especially women. His actions include harassment, threats, and doxxing. Allowing Davidai to speak at Fordham is not just troubling—it directly contradicts Fordham’s own policies on harassment, including §603.01(5) and §603.01(8) of the university's code of conduct.
Davidai is a Zionist with contempt for Palestinian lives and is a documented abuser of power who has used his position to harass, intimidate, and terrorize those who challenge Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people. By hosting him, Fordham would be sending the dangerous message that harassment is acceptable, and that marginalized students—especially Arab and Muslim students—are not a priority for the university.
Davidai’s presence on Fordham’s campus is not a minor oversight; it is an active threat to student safety and a clear betrayal of Fordham’s supposed commitment to protect its community.
We demand that Fordham University:
1. Cancel Shai Davidai's scheduled appearance.
2. Reaffirm its commitment to student safety by enforcing its policies against harassment.
3. Ensure that future events prioritize the safety and well-being of all students, especially those from marginalized groups.
Take Further Action: In addition to signing this petition, you can file a formal complaint with Fordham University to demand that they cancel this event.
