As far as I know Women can get charged with sexual assault , but that's just not good enough compared to men getting up to life imprisonment for rape. In the laws eyes , rape is the old cliche "man attacks woman" and you can only rape if your a man and use your penis for penitration. But in my eyes , rape is just "Sex Without Consent". Just because its not as common for women to rape men dosent mean it shouldn't matter. I've read many cases were men would be cuffed to their beds in there sleep and there girlfriend would proceed to 'sexually assault them'. How is this not rape?!? You may think he's man and can easily over power her but it's kind of hard when your handcuff to a bed and this is not always the case , not all men are all macho and muscllely. You also may think if he's able to keep his erection , he must be enjoying it? but an erection isn't commandable , it's a natural stimulation to touch eg// as a man could be sitting there terrified as she threatens and abuses him  still being able to maintain it. Who know how many men are actually abused as most male cases go un reported as they fear they wont be believed or will be laughed at which is disgusting as this actually happens. I've never made one of these before so I hope this makes a difference . If this petition goes to plan hopefully there will be a British public (England and Wales) debate to make both genders matter!
