In 1986, Disney, George Lucas, and Michael Jackson created magic with Captain EO.

 

It was a groundbreaking, 3D sci-fi adventure that brought joy to millions of guests at Disneyland and Epcot.

 

It wasn't just an attraction; it was a global symbol of hope, peace,

Today, we need that message more than ever.

 

Following the tragic murder of George Floyd and the ongoing global fight against racism, we believe it is time to honor

 

Black Lives Matter and Black artists by bringing back the ultimate Black pop icon to Disney Parks.

 

We are calling on The Walt Disney Company to secure a partnership

 

with Sony Music and the Michael Jackson Estate to acquire the rights to Michael Jackson LLC. (Aka Optimum Productions)

 

 Just as Disney did with Lucasfilm, Marvel, and 20th Century Fox, Disney should bring Michael Jackson’s cinematic legacy permanently into the family.
 
The Plan: A Better Future for Disney Parks
To make room for this legendary return and improve the park experience, we propose a few positive changes:

Move movie sneak peeks out of the theme parks entirely and keep them exclusive to Disney+, YouTube, and public movie theaters.

 

Retire outdated attractions like the Pixar Short Film Festival, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and Star Wars: Path of the Jedi (since Galaxy's Edge already exists).

 

Rename the venues to The Captain EO Theater at Tomorrowland (Disneyland)

 

and the Magic Eye Theater at Future World (Epcot) as permanent homes for the attraction.

We want to see the attraction return as “MICHAEL JACKSON’s CAPTAIN EO 3D”

 we propose using modern CGI and digital magic to cast beloved family-comedy actor Magnus Scheving
