Having been a type 2 diabetic on insulin for the past 10 years I understand the challenges and benefits in having to constantly test & manage my glucose levels. 

During my latest diabetic review at the Doctors surgery I was introduced to glucose monitoring patches which I have found to be a complete "game changer" they are linked via an app to my phone and I get an instant reading day or night and adjust my insulin with much better control.

My readings are also available to my diabetic nurse at the Doctors surgery, who checks in on me from time to time and tells me that my sugar levels are much better and more consistent!

 

 

 

 

Unfortunately I was given one free sample patch that only lasted 14 days and now have to spend over £100 per month replacing them.

We believe that these glucose monitoring patches should be be made available free to all diabetics through the NHS. 

It allows diabetics and associated physicians to constantly monitor and manage individuals' glucose levels using the latest technology. This is far less intrusive as it doesn't require "finger pricking"  and also saves time and money for the NHS.
