Em dezembro, os remasteres de Soul Reaver 1 e Soul Reaver 2 serão lançados, trazendo de volta uma das franquias mais queridas pelos fãs de jogos de ação e aventura. No entanto, apesar de contarem com legendas em vários idiomas, como o russo, até o momento, não há previsão de legendas em português brasileiro.

Para nós, brasileiros, isso representa uma grande barreira. O Brasil tem uma comunidade de fãs apaixonada por Legacy of Kain e pela história de Raziel, mas infelizmente, apenas 1% da população domina o inglês. Sem legendas em nosso idioma, uma grande parte dos jogadores ficará impossibilitada de aproveitar a riqueza da narrativa e dos diálogos profundos que são essenciais para a experiência completa do jogo.

Além disso, a presença de legendas em português é uma questão de acessibilidade. Para muitos jogadores com deficiência auditiva, por exemplo, as legendas são a única forma de acompanhar a história e se envolver com o jogo. Incluir nosso idioma não é apenas uma questão de representação, mas também de garantir que todos os fãs de Soul Reaver, independente de suas condições, possam mergulhar no universo de Nosgoth.

Por isso, pedimos à Crystal Dynamics e Aspyr Media que revejam essa decisão e inclua legendas em português brasileiro nos remasteres de Soul Reaver 1 e Soul Reaver 2. Nossa comunidade merece ser ouvida, e acreditamos que com a ajuda de todos, podemos mostrar que há um grande número de fãs que querem ter a oportunidade de reviver essa saga em sua própria língua.

In December, the Soul Reaver 1 and Soul Reaver 2 remasters will be released, bringing back one of the most beloved franchises among action-adventure game fans. However, despite offering subtitles in various languages, such as Russian, there is currently no forecast for Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.

For us Brazilians, this represents a significant barrier. Brazil has a passionate community of Legacy of Kain and Raziel fans, but unfortunately, only 1% of the population is fluent in English. Without subtitles in our language, a large portion of players will be unable to fully enjoy the richness of the narrative and the deep dialogues that are essential for the complete game experience.

Furthermore, having subtitles in Portuguese is a matter of accessibility. For many players with hearing disabilities, for instance, subtitles are the only way to follow the story and engage with the game. Including our language is not just a matter of representation but also about ensuring that all Soul Reaver fans, regardless of their conditions, can immerse themselves in the world of Nosgoth.

That’s why we ask Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr Media to reconsider this decision and include Brazilian Portuguese subtitles in the remasters of Soul Reaver 1 and Soul Reaver 2. Our community deserves to be heard, and we believe that with everyone’s help, we can show that there is a large number of fans eager to relive this saga in their own language.
