We are requesting OCDSB to please KEEP Windsor Park Village (Downpatrick Rd.) and Wisteria Park within the Bayview/Fielding school attendance boundary, in order to fit the Elementary Program Review's top goal of "community-based education".

These two neighbourhoods are clearly part of the McCarthy Rd. community, as the Airport Parkway, O-Train, and Transitway to the east are a huge natural boundary. Our community centre, grocery/shopping, library kiosk/bookmobile stop, wading pool, etc., are all located near Bayview P.S..

The bus routes through our neighbourhood (90, 92, etc.) connect us directly to Bayview/Fielding. Traveling to the proposed new schools (Sawmill Creek, Roberta Bondar) takes two city busses. This is onerous for the numerous families in our neighbourhood who do not have a car available for after-school childcare pickup. It might also limit these families' involvement in extra-curricular activities.

Our neighbourhood already changed boundaries only a few years ago when Elizabeth Park Public School closed. At that time it was determined (correctly) that Bayview/Fielding P.S. were the appropriate schools for our community. Please do NOT make our families change schools again.
