I have always been a gamer who passionately believes in the survival of community-first and brutally honest video games. XDefiant, a precious gem in the first-person shooter genre, has given me and countless others an unforgettable experience. However, its impending shutdown may take away this community we have come to love and the game that we lived within. So, we are advocating for XDefiant to be turned into a private server-based game post shutdown.

An indie developer, Velan Studios, already tried and succeeded with this idea when they decided to stop developing Knockout City. A game like XDefiant, embraced for its honesty and community spirit, deserves a fighting chance to survive and evolve, continuing to keep its community alive and thriving.

We understand this requires resources and support from involved entities. However, for the love of gaming and the community XDefiant has created, we find this path worth pursuing.
