ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారిని మా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం చట్ట విరుద్ధంగా సెప్టెంబర్ 9, 2023న అరెస్టు చేసింది. రాజకీయ కక్ష సాధించడానికి రాజ్యాంగ వ్యవస్థలను దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తుంది మా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం.

చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ఒక విజనరీ. 14 సంవత్సరాలు ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా పని చేశారు. ఆయన ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రాల అభివృద్ధికి అపారమైన కృషి చేశారు.

ఈ రోజు బాబు గారు "justice delayed is justice denied" సూత్రానికి బలి అవుతున్నారు. నిర్దోషి అయిన 73 సంవత్సరాల వ్యక్తిని జైల్లో నిర్బంధించి అతని ప్రాథమిక హక్కులను కాలరాస్తోంది రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం.

ప్రభుత్వం, తన అపారమైన శక్తులను ఉపయోగించి, చంద్రబాబు నాయుడిని వెంటాడి వేటాడుతుంటే, న్యాయ వ్యవస్థ బాబుకి అండగా నిలుస్తుందా అని ఆదుర్దాగా న్యాయస్థానాల వైపు చూస్తున్నాడు సామాన్యుడు. ఒక నిర్దోషిని మన రాజ్యాంగ వ్యవస్థలు రక్షిస్తాయన్న నమ్మకం ఈ కేసుని గమనిస్తున్న ప్రజలకు కలుగలేదు.

చివరికి దేశంలోని అత్యున్నత న్యాయస్థానం సుప్రీం కోర్టు కూడా ఈ కేసుకి ఇవ్వాల్సిన ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వడానికి నిరాకరించింది. ఈ కేసు సుప్రీం కోర్టుకి సెప్టెంబర్ 25న చేరింది. కోర్టు, వాదనలు వినకుండానే సెప్టెంబర్ 27న కేసుని వాయిదా వేసింది. అక్టోబర్ 3న మళ్లీ వాయిదా వేసింది. తదుపరి వాదనలు అక్టోబర్ 9న.

మీరు ఈ కేసుని వెంటనే విని, న్యాయ వ్యవస్థ పట్ల ప్రజలకు సన్నగిల్లుతున్న నమ్మకాన్ని పునరుద్ధరించమని అడుగుతున్నాము. మీరు చట్టం పక్షాన నిలబడి ప్రభుత్వ వేధింపుల నుంచి ఒక నిర్దోషిని రక్షిస్తారని ఆశిస్తున్నాము.

Dear Sir:

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu was illegally arrested by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 9 September 2023. This is a case of political vendetta, for which constitutional systems are being misused.

Chandrababu Naidu is a visionary leader and  has contributed immensely to the development of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. He has served as a Chief Minister for 14 years. 

Today, Naidu is a victim of “justice delayed is justice denied” practice. A 73 year old man has been stripped of his fundamental right to freedom.

Common man is closely watching the judicial proceedings that are underway to see if the judiciary will rescue Naidu from the witch-hunt of the all powerful State.

Developments so far have not instilled confidence in the people that the constitutional checks and balances will protect an innocent man wrongfully being hunted down by the State.

We would like to bring to your notice that even the country’s highest judicial body, the Supreme Court of India, has refused to recognise the urgency of the matter. The case has reached the Supreme Court’s door steps on September 25th. It was adjourned on the 27th. The case was adjourned again today, October 3rd. Next hearing is on October 9th.

We request you to give this case the priority it deserves and restore people’s waning confidence in the ability of the judiciary to uphold the law and to protect an innocent man from State’s witch-hunt.
