Montgomery is growing but leaves much to be desired for children and family fun, outings, and events. With the closing and consolidation of public schools, two large historical buildings will be left abandoned. 410 S. McDonough is a pioneer in the education history of Montgomery and should continue to serve children for generations to come. A museum for children will keep the area safe for our Downtown Public Library, our community members, businesses, and tourists while generating jobs, revenue and a love for learning in the city of Montgomery! This is a petition to our city's Mayor for the repurposing of 410 South McDonough Street building as the first Children's Museum of Montgomery.
