Support The Elijah Muhammad House Museum National Registry Nomination

The Issue

We are excited to announce that The Elijah Muhammad House™ Museum also known as Sajdah House® has been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency.  This Historic Home is the single most important piece of property in modern day Black History.  The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his Wife, Mother Clara Muhammad, hosted hundreds of Leaders, Activists, Athletes, Entertainers and Iconic Black people who met, dined and visited them in their home from 1952-1974.

From the great Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mrs. Coretta Scott King, Senator Adam Clayton Powell, Judge Thurgood Marshall, Dick Gregory, James Baldwin, Minister Louis Farrakhan, Tynetta Muhammad, Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Mrs. Betty Shabazz, Kwame Toure, Reverend Ralph Abernathy, Wilma Rudolph, James Brown, Sam Cooke and many many more.

We now have the opportunity to learn from and experience many "never heard before" historic recordings of conversations and meetings that took place during this pivotal time in the history of our country. Virtual and In-Person Experiences will be available this Fall.

Join us in celebrating this great history by supporting the nomination of the Elijah Muhammad House to the National Historic Register by signing this Petition of Support and Celebration.
