We call on Government to prioritise Halton and Warrington for major investment to create two new hospital campuses - one in each area - as part of its New Hospital Programme.

A third funding bid to achieve this ambition was recently lodged by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals after two previous pleas for more capital investment fell on deaf ears.

If levelling up is to mean anything then tackling health inequalities must be part of that approach, especially given Halton Hospital is located in a deprived neighbourhood.
