In recent weeks, we as the American public have watched the current administration release numerous executive orders threatening diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies within our institutions. Students, faculty, and staff within the Marist community should all be aware of how this will impact them directly. On Wednesday, February 26, the President of Marist University will be hosting a town hall to address students' concerns related to these executive orders. This petition aims to collect signatures from those at Marist who support this institution's DEI policies to remain intact (to be used as support for this coming Wednesday). If we do not act, we risk losing essential and necessary policies which protect many students and people in the community.
