This message is intended for Rod Smallwood, Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, Nicko McBrain, the killer crew, fanclub, and of course, EDDIE.

I am a 31 year old die-hard Iron Maiden fan, and a great admirer of all of your work and accomplishments throughout the years.

I absolutely love all your albums, artwork, songs and tours over the years as i have been a fan of yours since 2003 during the dance of death era, and have tried my darndest never to miss a tour everytime you guys are in southern california.

You were the reason I picked up a guitar and have solidified my love of heavy metal as my absolute favorite band and the pinnacle of the genre.

However, the reason I am reaching out to you today is to raise awareness of a newer band from my area that goes by the name of NIGHT DEMON.

In doing some online digging, I discovered that Nicko is actually in possession of their 2nd full length album, entitled DARKNESS REMAINS. There is a track on there called MAIDEN HELL, which is basically their love letter to you as a band, and it encapsulates your discography via the song titles. 

I was introduced to them through a podcast called TALKING MAIDEN: the podcast of the beast. This was a show that ran from 2018 to 2020 and it was by two lovely canadian gentlemen named josh and nesbit. I am positive they would love to have any one of you on the show if you would like to reach out to them in the future, as they have poured their time and souls into going over every aspect of you as a band. They even had Blaze on at one point. I highly recommend listening to or contacting them if you have the time.

My main goal today is to respectfully petition Night Demon as an opening act for you on either a US tour, as they are based out of southern california, or even a world tour once this pesky pandemic is over and the world of rock concerts can return with a vengeance once again.

Heres a few reasons why i think they would be a phenomenal opening act for you as the kings of heavy metal.

1. I believe it would be a fantastic "passing-of the torch" moment in metal history from one generation of metal to the next. There are thousands of bands who look up to you as influences, but this band lives and breathes heavy metal the same way you do. 

2. As i listened to more than just the tribute track on that album, i went back through their first album, and realized their music is incredibly evocative of the same cloth as your early beginnings. The intricate guitar melodies, the soaring harmonic vocals, the speedy thundering drum patterns, and the hooky catchy choruses about some sinister story, creature, battle or figure. 

3. These 3 guys. Jarvis, armand, and dusty,  have pushed themselves to maximum effort and exposure the same way you all did in your early years to be one of the elite heavy metal bands of their time, and they do quite a lot to help out and expose other similar bands of their ilk as well. 

4. They have hosted and put on several heavy metal festivals of their own as such a young band alreasy. One such being Frost and Fire, which i believe is located somewhere in the States.

I am strongly imploring you to give as much of their music a listen as you can as it can be a much better explanation as to why i believe they should open for you than any of my words can.

This pandemic has affected a lot of people, but its exposed many people to new artists and allowed many like myself to rediscover our love for such bands.

So, for them to be able to open for their favorite band as well as my own and many others, i have no doubt that true fans of kick ass old school heavy metal would go insane for every show if theres a way that management and all the logistical fates can pair you together.
