Ashoka Fellow Lucky Chhetri
This organization has recognized the efforts of one women in Nepal by making her an esteemed Ashoka Fellow. Lucky Chhetri and her two sisters to challenge serious gender barriers in Nepal with their social enterprise by training young women to become adventure tour guides in the Himalayas. They earn their own money and therefore have economic independance and autonomy instead of relying on old patriarchal ways of arranged marriages and domestic unpaid labour. I'm not in Ashoka, but I've seen Bill Drayton speak twice and both times were very inspiring.
