You might have already seen yesterday’s news that Nazanin has been sentenced to another year in prison in Iran, and banned from leaving the country for a year after. That means Nazanin might not be back home in the UK until summer 2023.

Nazanin’s original five-year sentence ended in March, and she should have been home with her husband Richard and six-year-old daughter Gabriella by now. But instead, this new sentence is a terrible blow to Nazanin and her family, who have campaigned tirelessly to get her home.

Today, more than ever, Nazanin needs your support. 

Her husband, Richard, is urgently calling on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to explain how they will secure Nazanin’s release. And some MPs are demanding that the Foreign Secretary makes an urgent statement today to explain what the Government will do now.
