Get Palantir out of the NHS

Get Palantir out of the NHS
The Issue
As a resident of the UK, lifelong user and supporter of the NHS, mother of neurodivergent twins, and generally concerned citizen, I am increasingly protective of our sensitive and valuable data that will be in the hands of American defence contractor Palantir. This company, controlled by morally questionable powers, is not the kind of partner we want for our treasured National Health Service. They have a track record of being involved in controversial operations that do not align with the ethical standards that the NHS stands for.
Palantir have enabled the genocide in Gaza and are being used by ICE in America to target people.
Palantir's involvement in the NHS poses a massive risk to the privacy and security of the data of millions of British citizens. The NHS holds some of the most sensitive and valuable information about us, and entrusting it to a foreign company, particularly one with defence ties, is a grave mistake. The potential for this data to be misused in ways that benefit the wealthy, widening the gap between the rich and poor, is too great to ignore.
Furthermore, this partnership lacks transparency. There is insufficient public understanding and accountability about how patient data will be managed and protected from misuse. The secrecy around this deal raises concerns about what we are not being told. As taxpayers, as patients, and as individuals who rely so heavily on this institution, we deserve to know how our information will be handled and protected.
Palantir are already being used in the UK by NHS Trusts. Check the link below to see if your local trust is involved.

We must act with urgency. Our NHS, a symbol of national pride and security, should not be compromised by putting its data in the hands of a company like Palantir, whose interests are not aligned with those of the British public. We must stand up for data protection, transparency, and the ethical management of our health services.
Join me in demanding that the government terminate its association with Palantir and seek alternative solutions that prioritise the safety and privacy of NHS data. Let your voice be heard. Protect our NHS and our data. Sign this petition now to get Palantir out of the NHS!
