The Issue
The purpose of this petition is to restore access to Burlington Island.
In June, Mayor James Fazzone of the City of Burlington issued an executive order that prohibits access to the island.
The island’s visitors take pride in it’s natural environment that facilitates hiking, canoeing/ kayaking, fishing, bird watching, and the simple of enjoyment of the outdoors.
Beyond restoring access to the island, we would like to see the island protected and preserved for now and generations to come.
