TikTok has become a vital source for Americans to share breaking news stories, learn new information about many topics, find community with like-minded individuals, and promote their small businesses. A ban on TikTok would

1. Be a violation of our First Amendment Rights by severing communication between citizens during a vital time in our country's history
2. Drastically impact our economy in a negative way by ruining small businesses that rely on TikTok to promote their businesses
3. Destroy communities made by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent,  disabled people, and many more marginalized groups during an ongoing pandemic when many cannot meet in person
4. Sever the open communication and sharing of knowledge that has helped many people learn about historical events they previously had not been taught about; medical/mental health conditions they didn't know about before and can discuss with their doctors and get treatment for; scientific principles they didn't learn in school but are now finding an interest in; updated pandemic information that is not being reported on by local public health departments; and so much more!

We need to act now and petition President Biden to not ban TikTok before it's too late.
