Gov. Inslee paused phased reopening of his Washington State lockdown due to Yakima cases on July 2, but reopening is still on pause 106 days later with no end in sight.

There seems to be no justification for continued Washington lockdowns, except apocalyptic fears stirred up by an Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) forecast that I debunked on August 26.  See: http://solmaker.com/public/DebunkIHME.pdf

This week IHME admitted they were wrong, downgrading their absurd predictions of 420,000 national deaths at 6,100 per day by December 1 if hard lockdowns are not reimposed, dropped to 262,887 total and 1,576 per day.  But IHME hid this by pushing back their chicken-little predictions so they could still trumpet 482,932 deaths by February 1.  See: https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america

Likewise the Great Barrington Declaration spearheaded by Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford epidemiologists, signed by 10,000 scientists and half-a-million others so far, says "current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health" and "those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal".  See: https://gbdeclaration.org

Please sign my petition to Gov. Inslee that he follow appeals from WHO and esteemed scientists to end his lockdown in Washington State now.  (And also sign the Great Barrington Declaration and join the groundswell to end lockdowns around the world!)

At barest minimum, Gov. Inslee might start by retroactively fast-tracking counties into the phase they would have been if he hadn't put his own reopening plan on endless hold.
