Support the University of Exeter Staff on Strike
The Issue
The Vice-Chancellor's refusal to meet the reasonable demands of the University's staff has resulted in our lecturers going on strike for a potential 18 days over the next few months. This will result in massive loss of contact hours for many students.
In signing this petition, students of the University of Exeter declare our support for our lecturers and other staff. We also hold the Vice-Chancellor responsible for the loss of tuition we face, and demand a refund for every hour missed because of their failure to resolve the dispute. Higher Education has sadly become a private commodity, and the University is now failing to deliver the service we have paid for.
We support the UCU's four fights against continuous pay cuts; rising workloads; casualisation; and pay gaps.
