My Mum has Von Willebrands (a type of blood clotting disorder) and when she was used as a guinea-pig to see how PUPs (previously untreated patients) would react to this new "wonder drug" Factor 8, she was infected with Hepatitis C. There are many other victims in the same boat as my Mum; some were given Hepatitis A, B, C and/or HIV. Other victims were given blood transfusions and contracted their diseases that way.

Government and staff in the NHS knew about the risks involved with giving Factor 8 and continued to do so as it was cheaper to use the vulnerable Haemophiliacs than using chimps.

It is unjust that individuals like Lord Kenneth Clarke have gained titles off the backs of these infected blood victims. These titles should be revoked as a step towards justice for all those affected by this scandal.

Yes, people deserve compensation for the wrongs that were done decades ago, but we also need Government to have a hard look at their failings and in doing so hopefully have the insight to revoke peerages that are definitely not deserved.
