**Petition against Members of UK Parliament Defecting to Another Political Party**

We, the undersigned, express our deep concern regarding the practice of Members of Parliament (MPs) defecting to another political party after being elected. 

MPs are elected to represent the interests of their constituents and uphold the values of the political party under which they were elected. When an MP defects to another party, it undermines the democratic process and disregards the trust placed in them by their constituents.

We believe that MPs who choose to defect should resign their position and stand for re-election under their new party affiliation, allowing voters to have a say in their representation once again.

We call upon the UK Parliament to enact measures to prevent MPs from defecting without facing re-election, thereby ensuring accountability and preserving the integrity of the democratic system.
