Meta/Facebook's new platform Threads is coming to Mastodon, and they're going to harvest Mastodon user's data for profit. And Mastodon.social and Mastodon.online are welcoming them with open arms.

Mastodon advertised itself in the beginning as a social media platform free from corporations like facebook and twitter. A place where people could go to talk without having capitalists look over their shoulders and profit from their lives. Mark Zuckerberg is no doubt planning on absorbing Mastodon into Meta using defederation, but he will crush it and make it nothing more than another profitable business however he can.

This is the person who broke into a sweat when he was asked if privacy was important to have. He obstructed an investigation on genocide in Myanmar. He takes rival platforms (like Mastodon) and crushes them so they can't take away money from him.
