Every time you eat a conventional egg, a newborn male chick is killed — usually by being ground alive or gassed — because he can’t lay eggs. Over 300 million male chicks are killed each year in the U.S. egg industry. 

This is no longer necessary. Europe has already banned chick culling and adopted a humane solution: in-ovo sexing technology. It detects chick sex before hatching so that male eggs can be removed ethically.

We demand:

💛 A U.S. federal ban on chick culling

💛 Mandatory in-ovo sexing in all commercial hatcheries

💛 Grocers to commit to selling only “No Chick Killing Certified” eggs

💛 Support egg farmers to transition ethically 

If the U.S. wants to lead in ethics, science, and food integrity — this is where it starts.

Europe is already there. We’re not.
