Release the Blue’s Clues test pilot, “Blue Prints” in full

The Issue

Many have been dying to see the unaired 1995 Blue’s Clues test pilot, “Blue Prints”. So far there’s only brief clips of it in circulation and the full pilot could be in archives. The pilot is said to have the same plot as that of the original series premiere, “Snack Time”.

Here are six differences from the official series:

  1. Steve Burns is seen wearing a short-sleeved red shirt instead of a long-sleeved green striped one.
  2. Mr. Salt’s accent was Brooklyn and not French.
  3. There was a rug in front of Sidetable Drawer.
  4. The cover and back of the title book was blue and not yellow.
  5. There was no tree seen beside the Blue’s Clues house.
  6. The Handy Dandy Notebook had a blank yellow cover.
