Thank you so much to everyone who has signed our petition. We are delighted that on Tuesday 30th June the Derbyshire Dales District Planning Committee voted to refuse the planning application to develop holiday lodges on Farley Moor. We are absolutely delighted and so very grateful for the support of our community. The petition was mentioned several times during the meeting, so it was instrumental in demonstrating public opinion and a show of democracy in action!  We will keep this page updated with what comes next (the possibility of an appeal looms), but for now we will be celebrating this victory! Plans have been submitted by Forest Holidays to Derbyshire Dales District Council to build 75 cabins with hot tubs, car parking and multiple associated buildings. This would entail the felling of over 1,300 trees destroying a large portion of this stunning woodland and reducing public access.

Please sign this petition and join us in rejecting this planning application (Ref 24/00665/FUL) and declaring Farley Moor an unsuitable location for this development.
