We Are The Village (Save CD5) - Nolensville TN
The Issue
The town of Nolensville has been working on a "Town and Country" zoning re-write for the last 18+ months and it is expected to have the final vote on March 2nd. In January, our new board of commissioners removed the best part of the new zoning: the village center character district (CD5).
Please sign this petition, email the board, spread the word, and attend the public meetings to show your support for CD5!
Benefits of CD5:
-It will be a place for the entire community to gather, socialize, play, dine, shop and experience Nolensville in a uniquely charming village center, Nolensville's own version of small town downtown.
-It will be the big revenue generator for Nolensville, positioning our town to pay for road projects, public safety expansion (we are lacking space for police and have two fire stations to build), proper funding for our public works department (their facilities currently lack a bathroom and they need better equipment to perform jobs in house), creation of a parks and rec department to tackle beautification projects and additional park space, etc.
-It will create an additional road lined with commercial parallel to Nolensville Rd, drawing traffic off of Nolensville Rd and providing an alternate route between Williams and Clovercroft.
-It will provide a variety of housing options that do not exist in Nolensville today.
Actions to take:
1. Sign the petition
2. Show your support at the upcoming meetings:
February 21st: Public Hearing, meeting begins at 4pm but public hearing comments will start around 6pm.
March 2nd: Final vote (expected), meeting starts at 6:30pm. Public comments capped at 3 min/person.
