We the undersigned are very disappointed with HS2 Ltd's failure to honour the spirit and word of their commitments to our community. There are 2 issues where urgent action is required:

1. HS2 have failed to provide design options for consultation for the Balsall Common viaduct as promised to the House of Commons select committee.
2. The destruction of the Kenilworth Greenway between Berkswell Station and Waste Lane. It was claimed by HS2 Ltd that this was to provide a haul route because a separate haul route was not possible. We note that despite the Greenway being clear cut by the early works contractor, the main contractor has built a separate haul route to the immediate west and appears to be using that route and not the clear cut Greenway.

We ask that Solihull Council do all in their power to ensure that HS2 Ltd:

1. Provide realistic options for the design of the Balsall Common viaduct as promised. Those options to form the basis of a new consultation with the community.Any design options for Balsall Common area to be not less favourable than those granted for the Colne Valley Viaduct.

2. To provide a planting plan within 6 months for replacement trees, woods and forests to Solihull Council for the trees felled on the Greenway Such planting to commence within 24 months on any suitable land within Balsall or Berkswell parishes for the benefit of Balsall Common.

3. Seek an explanation from the Secretary of State for these breaches of formal assurances given during the bill petitioning process.
