Your three ward Councillors; Josh Coldspring-White, Alexa Michael and Thomas Turrell are campaigning for the installations of barriers at Hayes railways station as a tool to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour on Station Approach, Hayes. 

Along with local residents, we are concerned that people are using the Hayes (Mid-Kent) line to come to Hayes and causing issues on Station Approach, such as mugging young people, committing anti-social behaviour and shoplifting. Barriers would help deter this. 

A number of local people, businesses and schools have told us that they feel a barrier at the station would help address these concerns. This petition is to demonstrate the public support for the barriers as part of the wider-case to be made.

Therefore:  'We the undersigned call on Southeastern Railways to install and staff barriers at Hayes Station as one way to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the Station Approach area'.
