Conservative Ministers have allowed the development of a mega solar farm on green land despite local opposition and planning inspectors deeming the proposals unfit for purpose. 

The Labour Council has led the campaign to prevent this development stating that there are far better brownfield sites and alternative locations which do not damage our precious green spaces in areas of outstanding natural beauty. 

The site would rip away the equivalent of 75 football fields of green space. Labour are calling on the Conservative government to take action and stop the planned development.
