Generative AI companies with backing from tons of investors and other larger companies are buying up computer hardware to run data centers filled with stolen art from real people just to generate images, text, audio, and videos, and its making it harder and harder for small companies and even regular people to be able to afford computers. In this modern age a computer is used for everything and it's to a point you can't even apply for a job without one, and with the rising prices of hardware due to generative AI companies bulk buying it just to generate and store AI pieces, made off of stolen data, its become hard for even a regular person to get a hold of one affordably. There should be regulations on how much computational hardware companies dedicated to generative AI can buy at one time as the production of microchips can not keep up with the eminence amount of demand these companies have and keep prices affordable enough for a regular person to just buy any piece of hardware to live in our modern age.
