I am a job seeker, like many others, who has spent countless hours and effort applying for positions on platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed. It is disheartening to discover that some of these job listings are not real - they are "ghost jobs". Companies post these with no intention of hiring anyone. It's time to address this issue at a legislative level. We need laws that make it illegal for companies in the United States to post ghost jobs on any job board. This deceptive practice affects millions across the country, causing unnecessary stress and disappointment.

Yet, countless individuals spend hours daily applying online. The presence of ghost jobs further skews this already challenging landscape.
