Despite the clear circumstances surrounding Erik's untimely death, no charges have been filed, and the Missouri justice department has remained disturbingly silent.

Such silence from our judicial system is not just a personal blow to Erik's family and friends but is also a stark reminder of a systemic issue. Police are entrusted to uphold the law and safeguard the public, yet in this case, a life was lost, and those trusted with justice seem to be turning a blind eye.
