Stop the destruction of logging in the Amazon Rainforest! Give the animals a chance.

The issue

The Amazon River Basin is home to the largest rainforest on Earth. The basin -- roughly the size of the forty-eight contiguous United States - covers some 40% of the South American continent and includes parts of eight South American countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, and Suriname, as well as French Guiana, a department of France.

The deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest is not only affecting the animals and environment but it's affecting us Humans. Farming off the trees is letting carbon dioxide into the air polluting the air we breathe in. Instead of breathing in the wonderful fresh air we should be breathing be are consuming disgusting polluted air that causes sickness and aggravates asthma. Keeping the trees will absorb the polluted air and give everyone breathable air. It's estimated that if the climate change were to increase the world's temperature by only 3 degrees Celsius then 75% of the Amazon would be destroyed.

Saving the the forest will also help the animals living there survive and flourish. There are 40,000 different plant species and approximately 2.5 million insect species in the Amazon rainforest. And many endangered animal species.

Together we can save the Amazon Rainforest and together we can make a difference!
