The state of the present police forces throughout the United States is pervaded with psychopaths. These individuals get into the police force where they know they can get away with destroying people's lives, get away with murder in some instances, but generally are able to elevate their sordid selves where they can trample over others, make false reports, lie at will to get people arrested and thrown into jail or prison. They know their word is paramount to judges. I've seen it right in front of me and they show no shame when they do their lying. These persons are drastically absent of empathy. Only they themselves matter. Police Chiefs know this goes on but will do nothing about it as one who gets into the force becomes one of the family of villains against the American people and so it's "us against them" mentality, the overpaid thugs parading around as peace officers who actually seek to harm others for their existence depends on it - arrest as many people as possible to justify their high salaries and benefits packages. Police forces are unwilling to purge the psychopaths as the rest of them have some of the same traits, just not as boldly expressed as in others. I'd estimate psychopaths in police may be at a 6 times greater prevalence than in the background population. These persons hate dealing with anyone of any intelligence as that threatens their ability to continue performing their ill-will. Yeah, they will strike at those who use reasoning on them. Their pay needs to be cut way down to lower their egos and this would help promote recruitment based on authentic desire to keep the peace, not be exploiting their position for harming others and them getting joy out of it. Whatever psychological testing is being done isn't done well enough or it's specifically tailored to obtain psychopaths. We need to make the psychological testing to spot these haters of humanity and seek to recruit decent individuals.

Thankfully with cameras, police are getting exposed more and more of what they are. And yet still, most all of them get retained (see above). What one is able to see on youtube of police abuse shouldn't even occur to 1/20 of what is presented. This demands psychopaths be purged. So many like to make the excuse or claim that it's from not being trained well enough but I disagree. You start with a decent person and then much of the problems would go away. Start with a psychopath and no matter the training, they will seek to harm another to satisfy their power mongering selves. Even with simple police auditing, many police easily get enraged, going against the US Constitution that they pledged to uphold. They must have the power over you. You show that their first lie of charge was wrong and they'll come up with another charge on you. Such misfits in society would be better placed in mental institutions, not be in police forces.

So, let's get this started. PURGE PSYCHOPATHS from POLICE forces locally and spread this initiative nationwide. From the corruption and psychopathic behavior I encountered with the Grants Pass Police in Oregon, I say let this begin right in my community.
