Allow Army Soldier of 19 Years to Continue Active Duty Service - Overturn a COAD Denial

Allow Army Soldier of 19 Years to Continue Active Duty Service - Overturn a COAD Denial
The Issue
We are seeking support for United States Army Soldier, First Lieutenant Jeremy Todd who has proudly served for nineteen years, seventeen of them on Active Duty including five combat deployments as an enlisted soldier and as an officer.
LT Todd recently submitted his Continuation of Active Duty Request (COAD), enabling him to complete his twenty years of Army Service and receive his full retirement, but unfortunately, he was denied.
After completion of his Medical Evaluation Board and subsequent Physical Evaluation Board, it was determined that based on Army standards, 1LT Todd was “unfit” to continue service. He received 100 percent plus ratings from the Army and the VA, clearly highlighting that his health has been affected during his time of service. In fact, 1LT Todd broke his spine on an airborne operation, and after a grueling rehabilitation, he returned to active duty service.
1LT Todd has served our country with honor and distinction.
He has the support and approval from his entire chain of command, including thirteen letters of recommendation from senior Army leaders who support his COAD request including one from a three Star Commanding General and one from a two Star General.
1LT Todd’s dedication and service to our country is remarkable and he’s a wonderful example of the best of what our military produces. 1LT Todd still has much to contribute to the United States Army. 1LT Todd has completed nineteen years of service and seeks to stay on Active Duty to complete his twenty years of Army service and receive his full retirement.
