The beautiful Skyway Bridge, also  referred to as the Sunshine Skyway Bridge or simply the Skyway, is a cable-stayed bridge spanning the Lower Tampa Bay connecting St. Petersburg, Florida to Terra Ceia. Being the #4 suicide bridge in America, yet of these, the Skyway is the only one that does not have plans to construct suicide prevention barriers either by fencing or nets. There has been talk since the early 90’s not because of cost but because of inspection difficulties or birds being caught. 

in 2018, there were a recorded record high of 18 suicides, 43 possible, 1 survivor and 10 saves. So far in 2019, there already have been 4 suicides, 10 possible, 1 survivor, and 2 saves. Each of these lives deserve a chance at being saved.

i am hopeful to gain as many signatures as possible to make a change following the 2017 success of  a similar petition  for the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate  now has been approved for a suicide prevention net. It is Possible with your help! PLEASE, let’s make this change today to save these precious lives.
