Balto premiered in theaters in 1995 and was an amazing movie. The story was heartwarming and exciting. It did well enough to inspire two straight to video sequels. The first sequel, “Balto 2: Wolf Quest” was released in 2002. In 2004 the second sequel, “Balto 3: Wings of Change” was released. In these sequels Balto and Jenna (his mate) had six puppies, however only four of them were named and their names are Aleu, Kodi (Kodiak), Saba, and Dingo. Only Aleu and Kodi had their stories told in the sequels.

We the fans are left with the desire for the story to continue and wondering what happened to some of the interesting characters in the first Balto movie like Balto’s archrival Steel, and his companions Nikki, Kaltag, and Star, as well as Jenna’s friends, Dixie and Sylvie and her owner Rosy. Fans also wonder if Aleu, who left with the wolf pack to lead them to safety, will ever return. If Aniu is Balto’s mother who is Balto’s father?

Fans would love to see a new Balto sequel as well as an animated T.V. series. Another movie sequel and animated series would allow the writers to answer the questions nagging us. We the fans would like the writers to properly conclude the franchise so that it can have a proper ending as well as a great story.
